An 18-year-old driver lost control of his high-powered BMW M3 early Sunday morning in Zurich, crashing into a tree near Landiwiese.

The incident occurred on Mythenquai, where the young driver, an Italian national, accelerated excessively, causing the car to veer onto the sidewalk and collide with a barrier and a tree.

Miraculously, no one was injured in the crash.

However, the damage is estimated to be tens of thousands of Swiss francs.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of reckless driving and handed over to the public prosecutor.

Zurich police deployed accident specialists to investigate the scene thoroughly.
