A tragic car accident occurred on Sunday morning in Fortunau, located in the canton of Valais, Switzerland.

According to the local police, a 59-year-old Swiss man lost control of his vehicle on the Route du Rawyl near a parking area.

The car veered off the road, tumbling down a slope and overturning multiple times.

Despite the swift response of emergency services, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
