A tragic accident occurred on Monday morning on Artherstrasse in Zug, where a 58-year-old driver collided head-on with a truck.

The impact left the driver trapped in his vehicle, and despite receiving prompt medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The 21-year-old truck driver was unharmed.

The collision caused significant damage to the car and left the truck wedged between a wall and the lakeside barrier, requiring a towing company to remove it.

The road was closed for several hours to facilitate the recovery of the vehicles and the deceased, as well as to conduct an investigation into the cause of the accident.

The Zug Police, along with the State Prosecutor's Office, have launched an inquiry, and a care team was deployed to support the victim's family and those involved in the accident.
