A tragic accident occurred in Stallikon, Switzerland, on Friday evening when a six-year-old girl was critically injured in a parking garage.

The incident happened around 5:30 PM as a 49-year-old driver was entering a private garage to park his vehicle.

For reasons still under investigation, the car collided with the child, who was present in the garage at the time.

The girl sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to the hospital by Alpine Air Ambulance.

The Zurich Cantonal Police and the public prosecutor's office are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident, with forensic specialists called in to secure evidence.
