A 13-year-old girl was seriously injured after being struck by a car in Wädenswil.

The incident occurred on Thursday evening when a 77-year-old driver collided with the girl as she attempted to cross Zugerstrasse near Schöneggstrasse.

The girl was airlifted to the hospital, while the driver remained unharmed.

The road was closed for three hours for investigation by Zurich's cantonal police and the public prosecutor's office.

Emergency services, including local police and fire departments, responded swiftly to the scene.
