A tragic hit-and-run incident occurred in Winterthur, resulting in the death of a 65-year-old man on an electric tricycle.

The collision happened near the Old Town in the early hours of Saturday.

The man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

A 38-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man, suspected to be in the car involved, fled the scene but were apprehended by police shortly after.

The vehicle was found abandoned about a kilometer from the accident site.
