The Zurich Cantonal Police conducted speed checks across the canton on Saturday, uncovering several cases of extreme speeding.
A 20-year-old Portuguese driver was caught driving at 98 km/h in a 60 km/h zone in Schlieren early in the morning.
Later, a 31-year-old Swiss man was clocked at 145 km/h in an 80 km/h zone in Wil.
In the afternoon, a 43-year-old German driver was caught speeding at 146 km/h in Windlach, despite already having his license revoked.
In total, five individuals were reported to the authorities for their violations, with some facing charges for reckless driving.
All offenders had their licenses confiscated, except for the German driver, who was already driving without a valid license.
The cases will now be handled by the public prosecutor's office.
