A major fire broke out in the center of Neuhausen am Rheinfall, leading to significant smoke development.

Authorities have urged residents to keep windows and doors closed and to turn off ventilation and air conditioning systems due to the strong, unpleasant odor.

The fire, which was reported to the police around 1:30 AM, resulted in a total loss of the building, although fortunately, no one was inside at the time.

The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are still under investigation.

The Schaffhausen police confirmed that the building was inhabited, but no residents were present during the incident.
