A serious traffic accident occurred on the A14 motorway near Zug on Friday morning, causing significant disruptions during rush hour.

A 73-year-old driver collided with a guardrail and crossed all lanes, resulting in a head-on crash with another vehicle.

Both drivers, along with a child passenger, sustained severe injuries and were hospitalized.

The accident left both vehicles totaled and caused approximately 10,000 Swiss Francs in damage to the guardrail.

Emergency services, including the Zug Volunteer Fire Brigade, responded swiftly to the scene.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
