Voters in Zürich are facing confusion ahead of the February 9 election to renew two prosecutor positions.
The election materials sent out lack a candidate list, leaving many unsure of whom to vote for.
This has led to a surge in calls to city officials, who are redirecting inquiries to the district council.
The issue arose because no candidates initially came forward for two of the 35 positions, prompting an open election.
Eventually, two candidates, Marco Menger and Thomas Grolimund, were proposed, but their names were not included in the voting documents.
Despite a complaint about the lack of transparency, the government ruled the election process lawful.
Voters are now tasked with independently researching eligible candidates.
