Swiss talent shone brightly at the WorldSkills competition in Lyon, securing 15 medals, including seven golds, seven silvers, and one bronze.
This impressive haul positioned Switzerland as the top European nation and third overall in the global rankings.
The Swiss delegation, the largest ever with 45 participants, showcased their skills across 41 professions.
Notably, the canton of Bern stood out, contributing five medals to the national tally.
The success of Bern's participants was highlighted by SwissSkills CEO André Burri, who attributed their achievements to the region's strong vocational training programs.
Education Minister Guy Parmelin praised the competitors for their outstanding performance, calling it a "remarkable result.
