Sulzer, a major industrial company, has announced the end of its home office policy, requiring all employees to return to the office.
This decision, led by CEO and Chairwoman Suzanne Thoma, affects approximately 2,700 of its 13,500 global employees, including 400 in Switzerland.
The move has sparked discontent among staff, especially those who were recently hired with the promise of remote work options.
Employees have expressed concerns about fairness, noting that some managers continue to work from home.
Sulzer defends the decision by emphasizing that in-person presence enhances teamwork and collaboration, which they believe is crucial for business growth.
Exceptions for remote work will be considered in special cases.
