Tenants of the Sugus buildings in Zurich are grappling with renewed uncertainty after receiving a second eviction notice.
Originally set for March 2025, the new deadline has been extended to September 2025. The owner, Regina Bachmann, cited "misrepresentation" by former property manager Goran Zeindler, who is under investigation for fraud and other charges, as the reason for the change.
Despite the delay, Bachmann remains committed to a major renovation project that will displace 105 households.
Tenants have expressed frustration over the lack of clarity and cold communication, with some questioning the legality of the new notice.
Protests and petitions continue as residents seek dialogue with Bachmann, but tensions remain high.
