The Buskers Festival in Bern recently attracted an estimated 69,000 visitors over three days, yet only about 23,000 purchased the festival wristbands, priced at 20 francs each.
This low payment rate has disappointed the organizers, who rely heavily on wristband sales to fund the event.
Despite the festival's popularity and international reputation, the organizers are concerned about its future sustainability.
They emphasize that changes are necessary to ensure the festival's survival, although the festival grounds will remain open and accessible.
Meanwhile, the Buskers Festival coincided with other major events in Bern's largest cities, including the Lakelive Festival in Biel and the Thunfest, yet organizers are not worried about competition for attendees.
