The 88th Tour de Suisse promises to be a grueling challenge for cycling enthusiasts.
Covering over 1,300 kilometers and climbing more than 20,000 meters, the race kicks off on June 15 in Küssnacht, Switzerland.
Unlike previous years, the event begins with a 127-kilometer circuit around Mount Rigi instead of a prologue.
A highlight includes the fourth stage, which ventures into Italy, covering 193 kilometers from Heiden to Piuro via the Splügen Pass.
The toughest test, however, is the 184-kilometer "Queen Stage" from La Punt to Santa Maria, featuring two major climbs and a double ascent to the finish.
The race concludes with a 10-kilometer mountain time trial to Stockhütte.
Meanwhile, the women’s Tour de Suisse starts earlier, on June 12, with a circuit in Gstaad and ends after four stages in Küssnacht.
Full details of the women’s route will be revealed in April.
