A 17-year-old Swiss teenager was arrested on Monday night after robbing a gas station in Zurich's Kreis 2 district.

The incident occurred around 10 PM when the suspect entered the gas station on Albisstrasse, threatened staff with a handgun, and stole several hundred francs.

He fled the scene but was apprehended later that night by Zurich's cantonal police following a swift investigation and public tips.

The case is now being handled by Zurich city police in collaboration with the juvenile prosecutor's office.
