A 39-year-old Swiss man was arrested after robbing a gas station shop in Fällanden.

On Monday evening, the suspect threatened two employees with a knife, forcing them to open the cash registers.

He fled on foot with several hundred francs.

Police quickly identified the man and arrested him at his home in Fällanden the following day.

The local prosecutor has opened a criminal investigation and requested pre-trial detention.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the motives and details of the crime.
