The Swiss Federal Council has unveiled its latest annual portrait, a collage featuring over 1,000 citizens from across the country.
Created by 24-year-old photographer Arthur Gamsa, the image includes at least 40 individuals from each canton, alongside the seven council members and the chancellor.
Gamsa spent two months traveling over 5,000 kilometers, living in his car, to capture the diverse faces of Switzerland.
He describes the photo as a metaphor for direct democracy, emphasizing the connection between the council and its citizens.
While some critics praised the effort, others felt the council members appeared too polished, undermining the intended message of unity.
Despite mixed reviews, the photo stands as a bold artistic statement on Swiss governance.
