The Swiss Federal Office of Police (Fedpol) has imposed an 18-day entry ban on Austrian right-wing extremist Martin Sellner, effective until October 27. Sellner, known for his controversial views on 'remigration', was scheduled to deliver a lecture in Zurich, organized by the far-right group Junge Tat.
Despite the ban, Sellner entered Switzerland and was arrested in Thurgau, highlighting his defiance of the restrictions.
The Fedpol's decision aims to safeguard Switzerland's internal security, though the specific reasons for the ban remain undisclosed.
Sellner's actions have previously stirred public unrest, and his recent arrest underscores ongoing tensions surrounding his activities.
