Swiss Army Faces Project Criticism

The Swiss Army is under scrutiny for issues in several major projects, including the New Digitalization Platform (NDP) and airspace monitoring system C2Air.

Defense Minister Viola Amherd and Army Chief Thomas Süssli acknowledged the challenges but emphasized that most of the army's 200 projects are on track.

Critics, however, argue that the risks and costs of these troubled projects are significant.

Amherd admitted to communication gaps with the public and promised more transparency.

Süssli denied allegations of hiding reports and defended the army's decisions, citing external factors like inflation and delivery delays.

Both leaders pledged regular updates to rebuild trust.
