The Swiss government has issued warnings for avalanche risks, with levels reaching 3 and 4 in some areas.
Meteorologists predict up to 125 centimeters of snow in central Alpine regions by Christmas Eve, with strong winds adding to the challenges.
Travelers are advised to exercise caution and plan alternative routes.
