A former firefighter is on trial for allegedly setting a series of fires in the Solothurn region of Switzerland.
The 35-year-old Swiss man is accused of starting 12 out of 13 fires that occurred in the spring of 2022, targeting barns, warehouses, and even a schoolhouse.
The fires, which took place over several weekends, resulted in the death of several animals but no human injuries.
The accused, who was arrested in May 2022, has denied the charges, which include arson, trespassing, and animal cruelty.
The prosecution claims strong evidence against him, including surveillance footage.
The trial is ongoing, with a verdict expected soon.
