An 84-year-old Swiss woman was found dead in Lake Constance near the Wiedehorn beach in Egnach on Sunday morning.

The Thurgau Cantonal Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death, which remain unclear.

A call to the cantonal emergency center reported a lifeless body floating near the shore shortly before 10 a.

m.

Upon arrival, rescue teams could only confirm the woman's death.

Her body has been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in St.

Gallen for further examination.

The police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen anything unusual around the Wiedehorn beach area on Saturday night or Sunday morning.
