In a swift operation, the Schaffhausen police apprehended two men thanks to a vigilant citizen's tip-off.

Early Monday morning, a passerby noticed the men suspiciously loitering around parked cars in the Breitequartier area, checking if they were locked.

Acting on this information, a plainclothes police patrol quickly intervened and detained the suspects.

One of the men was already wanted by the police.

Both individuals, identified as Algerians, were found carrying valuables and cash, which they allegedly stole from the parked vehicles shortly before their arrest.
