A tragic canyoning accident occurred on Friday morning above Flims, resulting in the death of a 28-year-old Italian man.
The incident took place in the Tschenghel dil Gori area, between the upper and lower Segnas-Boden, at an altitude of 2250 meters.
During a descent, the man became trapped in a rock crevice, with his upper body facing downwards, and was pressed against the rock wall by strong water currents.
Despite desperate attempts by his companions to rescue him, the man died at the scene.
