The Eidgenössische Jubiläumsschwingfest, a major event in the Swiss wrestling calendar, is set to take place in Appenzell on September 8, 2024, marking the 125th anniversary of the Eidgenössischer Schwingerverband (ESV).

Originally planned for 2020, the event was postponed due to the pandemic.

This prestigious competition will feature 120 top Swiss wrestlers, including notable matchups such as Samuel Giger versus Joel Wicki, and Werner Schlegel against Fabian Staudenmann.

The event is expected to draw around 20,000 spectators and will be broadcast live by SRF across various platforms.

The festival is not only a celebration of Swiss wrestling but also a significant cultural event, showcasing the sport's rich heritage and the skill of its athletes.
