The Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SRF) has been criticized for its coverage of university protests related to the Gaza conflict.
Zurich-based lawyer Emrah Erken filed a complaint, arguing that SRF's reporting downplayed antisemitic and extremist elements of the protests.
The Independent Complaints Authority for Radio and Television (UBI) upheld the complaint, stating that SRF violated the principle of diversity in its reporting.
UBI President Mascha Santschi Kallay described the coverage as overly one-sided and lacking critical context.
While the decision is not yet legally binding, it has sparked a broader debate about media neutrality and the portrayal of sensitive issues.
SRF has yet to announce whether it will appeal the ruling.
