Major Drug Bust in Verbier

In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, the police in the Swiss tourist town of Verbier have arrested 15 suspected drug dealers, all of whom are French nationals.

These individuals are accused of selling large quantities of drugs, including 10 kilograms of cocaine, along with smaller amounts of ketamine, ecstasy, and cannabis.

The operation, described as the largest of its kind in the region, was the result of months-long investigations and collaboration with French authorities.

The police seized several tens of thousands of Swiss francs, estimating the drug trade's revenue at over a million francs.

Despite the scale of the operation, authorities emphasize that Verbier is not a major drug hotspot, with similar issues present in other areas of the canton.

The suspects now face the prospect of lengthy prison sentences as the investigation continues.
