A majestic Christmas tree from Rehetobel AR now graces the Klosterplatz in St.
Gallen, thanks to the generous donation from Jemina and Christian Bächtold.
The couple, who have lived in Rehetobel for about a year, are devout Christians and see this gesture as a way to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
They hope the tree will symbolize light and hope during the festive season.
This annual tradition, which began in 1998, involves the spectacular delivery of the tree by helicopter, a sight that drew hundreds of onlookers this year.
The 17-meter tall tree was transported smoothly and now stands as a beacon of joy and celebration for the community.
