Two inmates have escaped from Bässlergut prison in Basel, Switzerland, located near the German border.
The escapees are a 22-year-old Tunisian, Amin Harmoch, and a 37-year-old Algerian, Abdelkader Karim.
Harmoch was in early detention for serious charges including attempted murder, assault, robbery, and other offenses.
Karim was serving time for property damage, trespassing, and illegal entry.
The circumstances of their escape remain unclear, prompting an international search by the Basel-Stadt police.
Authorities urge anyone with information on their whereabouts to contact the local police immediately.
