A former administrative judge is facing serious charges of rape and sexual coercion at the Regional Court Plessur in Chur.

The allegations date back to December 13, 2021, when the judge allegedly assaulted a former intern in his office.

The victim reportedly resisted and expressed her unwillingness, but the judge used his physical dominance to carry out the acts.

The intern, fearing for her career due to the judge's influential position, felt compelled to endure the situation.

Further accusations include the judge exploiting the intern's vulnerable position and threatening her and her partner anonymously regarding their legal exams.

The judge resigned in December 2022, citing the need to protect his family and reputation, though he denied any admission of guilt.

The court proceedings are scheduled to last two days.
