Severe weather and flooding have left several cruise ships stranded on the Danube River in Vienna, Austria.

Among the affected vessels is the Swiss river cruise ship "Thurgau Prestige," which was en route to Budapest.

The ship, carrying 102 passengers and 40 crew members, is unable to dock due to submerged piers.

Passengers are confined to the ship, awaiting clearance from local authorities to disembark.

The unexpected flooding has halted river traffic, impacting numerous ships and causing logistical challenges.

While the situation is expected to improve by Tuesday, further rain could delay relief efforts.
